RCTT Is a Participant of the New European Project - FIT4SMEs

RCTT represents Belarus in the new European project "Financial Facilities for SMEs: training and capacity building for Business Support Organisations in non-EU member states of the Central European Initiative - FIT4SMEs" (http://www.fit4smes.net) implemented by Informest (http://www.informest.it),  Development Agency for Economic Cooperation based in Gorizia, Italy and financed by the Central European Initiative (CEI) www.ceinet.org through its Know Exchange Programme and by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy.

The project aims at training staff of selected Business Support Organizations (BSOs) locate in non EU CEI members (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine) in order to strengthen their internal capacities and knowledge on instruments available through major International Financial Institutions. It is expected that upon conclusion of the project, BSOs will be able to promote the above instruments among local enterprises and, upon request, provide comprehensive information on eligibility criteria and relevant application requirements.

13-14 April 2011 in Trieste (Italy) will be held kick off event of the project. The event represents the start up of two years programme that seeks to develop skills and improve capacities of the participating business intermediary organizations in order to help them to provide a similar level of assistance in advising SMEs on access to finance as the one offered by business support organizations in the European Union. To this regard  the Business Support Organizations such as chamber of commerce, business and SMEs association, business incubator, centre for technology transfer etc. are independent source of advice and practical support for many SMEs will have the opportunity to liaise with International Financial Institutions such as: European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) http://www.ebrd.com, World Bank  http://www.worldbank.org/eca and European Investment Bank (EIB) http://www.eib.org and to get a first overview of the main international financial facilities to support SMEs.
