On October 26, 2018, the delegation of Guangzhou (China), headed by the Inspector of the Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau Mr. Huang Yuanfei visited the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The delegation invited specialists from the NASB to participate in the «2018 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and the 20th Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology» that will be held on 21st - 22nd December in Guangzhou.

What is innovation and how should it be measured? Understanding the scale of innovation activities, the characteristics of innovative firms and the internal and systemic factors that can influence innovation is a prerequisite for the pursuit and analysis of policies aimed at fostering innovation. The Oslo Manual is the international reference guide for collecting and using data on innovation.

The 2018 edition contains improved guidance reflecting evolving user interests and accumulated practical experience. It includes new material dedicated to supporting the measurement of innovation outside the business sector, understanding the internal and external drivers of business innovation as well as a firm’s most important innovation, and facilitating better use of innovation data for statistics and analysis.

The Swedish Institute (SI) Visby Programme provides scholarships for academic and expert mobility between Sweden, the EU Eastern Partnership, and Russia.

The Visby Programme was launched in 1997. Today the Visby Programme includes Sweden, the EU Eastern Partnership countries and Russia.
With some 140 scholarships granted each year altogether, the programme is still going strong.

From 10 to 14 October 2018, the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus S.А. Chizhik visited Harbin (China), where it participated in the Third 45º N.Lat Innovation Forum, the Seventh China Harbin International Exhibition of Scientific and Technological Achievements, the Third China-Belarus Forum on Science and Technology - 2018. The visit was organized with the support of Harbin Centre for International Scientific and Technological Transfer (HCISTT) in the frame of Cooperation Agreement between HCISTT and RCTT from 19.06.2008.
