The workshop "Commercialization of the results of scientific & technical activity" took place in Minsk on 31 May 2018. The event was held at the Researchers Training Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The workshop participants - 14 scientific secretaries of scientific institutions of the Republic of Belarus.

Belarus research institute developed a method to produce porous material from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The institute seeks cooperation under manufacturing agreement, commercial agreement with technical assistance or joint venture agreement.

In the developed method the solid PTFE is evaporated by a laser beam and condensed on cold surface as fibres. At present, the porous material produced in form of wool or felt. The wool consists of fibres 5-15 micrometers mean diameter and up to 10 mm length. The felt consists of shorter (0.2-2 mm) fibres that are fused at contact points.

Belarus research institute offers technology and equipment for high velocity sheet-metal forming. Main advantages are high efficiency, convenient and safe energy source and the ability to control the shock wave shape. The institute is looking for industrial partners for manufacturing agreement, commercial agreement with technical assistance, services agreement.

In the offered technology (impact hydroforming) the pressure pulse is created by air-driven head hitting the closed volume of liquid or elastic medium that fills the forming chamber. Developed pneumatic system accelerates head up to 50-100 m/s and the created pressure pulse is 100-300 MPa.

The event was held at the Institute of Professional Resources in Industry. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy, Director of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer, Consortium coordinator of the COSME project “Enterprise Europe Network Belarus”.

May 26, 2018 the delegation of Guangzhou City Haizhu headed by Mr. Ma Zhengyong, President Guangzhou City Haizhu Overseas Friendship Liaison Association, visited RCTT.
The meeting was attended by Sergey Chizhik, the First Vice Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, Vladimir Podkopaev, the Head of the Main Department of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the NAS of Belarus, Alexander Uspenskiy, Director of RCTT and others. The guests were informed about activity of the NAS of Belarus and RCTT; saw the exhibition of the NAS of Belarus “Achievements of the National Science for the Industrial Sector”. There was a discussion of cooperation prospects in the field of technology transfer and technology commercialization.

R&D institute of NAS of Belarus is offering ready to use a technology of high voltage electrochemical oxidation. The technology is used to form hardwearing aluminium ceramic coatings on products from aluminium alloys. Coating properties: hardness up to 8 GPa; roughness < 0,05 µm; thickness up to 70 µm. The institute is looking for industrial partners or R&D organisations for commercial agreement with technical assistance, license agreement or research cooperation agreement.
