The Manufacturing USA Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2017 describes the program’s work in helping to move discoveries in the nation’s universities and research laboratories to the shop floor here in America. It highlights the nine Manufacturing USA institutes that were active in Fiscal Year 2017, and documents the network's progress toward increasing the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing.

The Manufacturing USA network is a public-private program designed with a vision of U.S. global leadership in advanced manufacturing. Its institutes have a mission to develop game-changing technology and the skills needed to equip our future U.S. manufacturing workforce. Institutes also provide education and training so that American workers have “improved job opportunities and increased economic opportunity in promising technology areas that result in higher wages”.

On September 16-19 specialists from the NAS of Belarus visited China within the framework of the "Tour of foreign specialists in Yunfu City, Guangdong province". The tour was organized by Guangdong-CIS International Technological Cooperation Union and the government of Yunfu.

11 specialists from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine were invited to the "Tour of foreign specialists in Yunfu City, Guangdong province". The NAS of Belarus was represented by the director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology" Alexander Mrochek and researcher of the Centre of System Analysis and Strategic Research of the NAS of Belarus Aliaksei Uspenski.

September 18, 2018 the delegation of Jilin (China) headed by Mr. Wang Delin, Head of the Bureau of Science and Technology of Jilin City, visited the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

From the Belarusian side the meeting was attended by Academician Aliaxandr Sukalo, Deputy Chairman of the NASB; Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy, Director of the RCTT; Academician-Secretaries of the NASB and others. The guests were informed about the NASB and the Centre’s activity. There was a discussion of cooperation prospects in the field of technology transfer and technology commercialization.

Seven organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be present at The 7th China Harbin International Exhibition of Scientific and Technological Achievements (11 - 14 October 2018, China, Harbin).

The workshop "Commercialization of the results of scientific & technical activity" took place in Minsk on 12 September 2018. The event was held at the Researchers Training Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The workshop participants - 10 scientific secretaries of scientific institutions of the Republic of Belarus. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy, Director of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer, Consortium coordinator of the COSME project “Enterprise Europe Network Belarus”.
