UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Visited RCTT - 22 July 2004

On 22 July the UNDP Resident Representative/UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus Ms Cihan Sultanoglu met Mr. Vladimir Nedilko, Chief Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology, National Coordinator of the UNDP/UNIDO projects for development of innovation activity in Belarus, and paid a visit to the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer established within the framework of UNDP Project BYE/00/004 “Developing an Infrastructure to Support Innovation Activity in the Republic of Belarus”.

Several issues were taken up at the meetings, in particular, the Project’s progress and forthcoming finish, prospects for other international projects of innovation capacity building, the scope of RCTT’s activity and its planned development.

Ms Sultanoglu made a note of comment in the Distinguished Guests Book of RCTT to emphasize that “the excellent cooperation between the State Committee for Science and Technology, UNDP, UNIDO and the National Academy of Science is producing concrete results in a very important area for the technological, industrial and economic development in the Republic of Belarus”. The eminent guest wished the Centre continued success in the future.
