RCTT at 4th Harbin International Exhibition
RCTT took part in 4th China Harbin International Scientific and Technological Achievements Fair. The exhibition was held on 13-18 June. RCTT got to the event owing to the support rendered by the Harbin Center of International Scientific and Technological Transfers within the project "Establishment of Sino-Belarusian Scientific and Technical Cooperation Platform and Formation of Effective Interaction Mechanism Between Research Organizations and Industrial Enterprises from Harbin (China) and Belarus" of Scientific and Technical Cooperation Program Between Belarus and China for 2011-2012.
This exhibition plays an important role in promoting international scientific cooperation and technology transfer. Organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were represented by more than 60 projects including 48 projects previously selected by the Chinese side on the basis of an appeal to the projects of the "Catalogue of innovation Projects and Developments by Organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus 2011", which was posted on the Harbin's virtual exhibition.
During the exhibition, representatives of the Academy of Sciences conducted over 100 meetings and negotiations with representatives of the scientific and business circles of China, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, attended the High Level Forum on Scientific and Technological Cooperation. As a result, an agreement was signed on scientific and technical cooperation between the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of NAS of Belarus and the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology to create and develop new high-tech chemical materials of different functionality and technology, as well as more than 40 letters of intent for further cooperation in various fields. In turn, RCTT 15 signed letters of intent and an "Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation with the Institute of High Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of Heilongjiang Province", which aims to establish mechanisms for intergovernmental Belarusian-Chinese information-technology platform for collective use.
