COOL Bricks Project Partner Meeting in Tallinn
The regularly scheduled Project partner meeting of the project "COOL Bricks - Climate Change, Cultural Heritage & Energy Efficient Monuments" took place in Tallinn (Estonia) on May 21-23, 2012.
The project COOL Bricks is carried out in the context of the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013. The project partners are 18 organizations form 9 countries: Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Belarus and Finland. The Republican Centre for Technology Transfer represents Belarus.
Inviting parties of the project partner meeting were Centre for Sustainable Renovation under Estonian Heritage Society, Kohtla-Järve Town Government and Centre for Development Programs (EMI-ECO).
Activities in Tallinn included: seminar for project partners on how to use software ReMAC (Regenerative Energy for Metropolitan Areas and Cities), excursion to the historical center of Tallinn, open international seminar, advisory board and steering committee meeting.
Software ReMAC was presented by Mr. Rainer Scheppelmann one of the developer from the Ministry of Urban Development and Environment of Hamburg. Software ReMAC is a follow-up initiative of the project EUCO2 80/50. It is used to predict economic and ecologic outcomes in the year 2050 from the implementation of modern technologies under the chosen region development strategy.
