Kick-Off Meeting «LT.InnoConnect.BY»
On November 10 – 11, 2011 the Kick-Off Meeting of the Project "LT.InnoConnect.BY - Innovation networking for economic development" took place in Grodno (Belarus). The project LT.INNOCONNECT.BY is carried out in the frame of the EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURHOOD AND PARTNERSHIP INSTRUMENT 2007-2013 CROSS BORDER COOPERATION PROGRAMME LATVIA-LITHUANIA-BELARUS.
Activities included:
- official opening of the Project,
-presentation and discussion of strategy and work packages of the Project,
-Steering Committee Meeting of the Project.
During the discussion of strategy and plans for the Project director RCTT Alexander Uspensky made report on "Innovative Regional Cooperation: Transfer of Technology."
The project partners are 7 organizations form Belarus and Lithuania

Objective of the Project: The balanced partnership of academic and innovation support organizations will stimulate cross-border economic development through diffusion of innovation both locally and trans-nationally in accordance with the needs of the industrial, economic, and social institutions in Lithuanian-Belarusian regions.
Main results&outputs: The projects is expected to enhance capacity of innovation support practitioners in participating regions through creation Transnational network of innovation intermediaries; to foster links between key regional innovation stakeholders in the participating regions by conduction 4 seminars and 2 study visits; to ensure sustainability of the network activity by promoting 2 reference guides/1 book on regional innovation strategies development within partner regions and conducting 3 pilot events for Lithuanian and Belarusian SMEs.
