Workshop "Practical Issues of Technology Transfer” was held on 14 and on 15 September at the headquarters of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer in Minsk. The seminar was initiated and arranged for the member organizations of the RCTT Network.

The purposes of the workshop were:

• to familiarize the specialists with the information resources and services offered by RCTT;
• to provide the trainees with hands-on skills in preparation of innovation and investment projects and placing thereof on the Web portal of RCTT (http://ictt.by), in the international network UNIDO Exchange, Russian Technology Transfer Network (RTTN), the network of commercial centre for technology transfer of yet2.com Inc. (USA), private network of technology transfer The Orchard Network Ltd (GB).

Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus' Mr. P. Vityaz and Division Head of the Administrative Department for Innovation Activity of the State Committee on Science and Technology Mr. V. Dragun spoke to the audience during the workshop. RCTT personnel provided detailed information about the current state of RCTT’s information facilities and services and the outlook to further development thereof. Also, the procedures related to preparation of innovation and investment projects, and subsequent monitoring of demands and proposals on the projects through the RCTT Network were thoroughly studied. The trainees took the opportunity of practical training based on the new attainments.
