On 1 June 2005 a branch office of RCTT was inaugurated at the Institute of Genetics and Cytology, a state institution with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The newly opened branch was established under the auspices of the State Committee on Science and Technology and the National Academy of Sciences.

The priorities in RCTT’s branch activity are:

• support of the innovation activity and technology transfer specific of the genetics and biotechnology spheres;
• promotion of developing innovation entrepreneurship and expansion of international partnership in the innovation domain, specifically related to biotechnologies in the sectors of agriculture, medicine, environment protection;
• rendering assistance in pursuance of the government policies aimed at sustained innovation SMEs in the sphere of genetics and biotechnology.
