Belarus-China Science and Technology Forum - 2017 in Minsk

Belarus-China Sci Tech Forum 2017 May 22, 2017 in Minsk the "Belarus-China Science and Technology Forum - 2017" was held.

-Republican Centre for Technology Transfer (Belarus).

The Forum was attended about 40 representatives of China. From Belarusian side more than 400 representatives of government bodies associated with the scientific and technological activities, research organizations, companies, universities, and subjects of innovation infrastructure participated in the work of the Forum. Promising avenues and mechanisms of development of Belarusian-Chinese science and technology cooperation as part of the efforts to implement the One Belt, One Road initiative were discussed at the Forum.

Within the framework of the Forum, representatives of the Chinese delegation got acquainted with the exhibition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus “Achievements of the National Science for the Industry” Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the NASB Presidium held talks with the head of the Chinese delegation Mr. Liu Yanguo, Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of Harbin. Sergei Chizhik, First Deputy Chairman of the NASB Presidium held talks with Mrs. Zhao Mei, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Heilongjiang Province.

The first Belarusian-Chinese scientific and technical forum was held in Minsk on October 13, 2015. This form of interaction between Belarusian and Chinese partners is becoming traditional. Scientists and specialists of Belarus and China on a systematic basis, every year, are considering a wide range of issues of expanding cooperation in the scientific and innovative fields. The next forum is planned to be held in Harbin in 2018.
