On 24 August the conference hall of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer was the venue for the first session of the Administrative Council of Bilateral Scientific and Technical Collaboration between the Republic of Belarus and the Province of Henan (the People's Republic of China). The meeting parties reviewed the outcomes of the scientific and technical cooperation achieved during the previous year period, exchanged information about the current situation, the problems and trends of scientific and technical advance in Belarus and Henan Province. The two parties affirmed their common interest in further development of mutually beneficial scientific and technical collaboration within in the forms and framework determined by the Agreement of Cooperation in the Innovation Activity Area, the document signed by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (SCST) and the People’s Government of the Province of Henan on 7 November 2002 in Zhengzhou (China). The Chairman of the Chinese party of the Administrative Council, Vice-Governor of the People’s Government of Henan Province Mr. Liu Xinmin and Deputy Chairman of SCST Mr. V. Pranovich signed a protocol that stipulated the measures and activities for the period of 2004 through 2007 making for intensified scientific and technical collaboration.
