Summary
The elements for controlling generation impulse length of ruby and neodymium lasers were made using CdP2 monocrystal as a non-linear sealed beam.
Description
The extenders of laser irradiation impulses within the range of 20–350 ns were developed owing to nonlinearity light absorption, based on CdP2 monocrystal.
Technology type
Technical advantages and economic benefits
Due to use of CdP2 based extenders the impulse length may be increased from 20-25 to 150-350 ns. At the same time, as opposed to wide use of GaAs, CdAs, CdS crystals, cupped impulse form remains unchanged confirming fast Q-switching.
