Summary

Adhesives are special products used as adhesively active substrates of protective coatings, multilayer polymer films and articles. They are also used for modification of polymer-polymeric composites mainly on the basis of polyamides, polyesters and polyolefines. They are delivered in granules for processing using the methods of extrusion and coextrusion.

Description

Adhesives are thermoplastic composite materials obtained by modification of polymer and copolymer olefin mixture by low-molecular compounds which contain adhesively active functional groups and other special-purpose additives.
As well as their foreign analogs, domestic adhesives are characterized by high adhesion to different materials and hard surfaces. Adhesives can be used for production of the following articles:


They are delivered in granules and are processed by the methods of extrusion and coextrusion.
Domestic adhesive production makes it possible to extend the market of raw materials for polymer products made in Belarus without considerable capital investments, extend brand assortment of film materials, protective coatings and polymer-polymeric composites of various purposes made in Belarus, stop adhesive importation and practise their exportation, film materials, protective coatings and mix composites obtained during their usage, restrict currency costs for purchasing of expensive polymer raw material.

Technical advantages and economic benefits

In contrast to foreign adhesives, domestic ones are produced with the possibility of variation of rheological and mechanical properties, including low melt index and improved characteristics of unit stretching elongation. Due to this they can be used for formation of blown articles and in the tubular film production. Domestic adhesives can be processed under elevated temperatures, particularly during coextrusion with polyamides and other polymers which melting and processing temperatures can reach 230-250°С.
The main economic benefit of domestic adhesives in comparison with their foreign analogs is their cost parameters.

There is an experience of adhesive use for production of multilayer sausage casings, and also for production of anticorrosion protective coverings of oil- and gas pipelines.
