Summary
Composite self-lubricating material is meant for manufacturing of parts of friction units in machines and mechanisms.
Description
F4-VM material is a powder composition, from which parts and
intermediates are produced using the method of pressing with subsequent heat
treatment.
Main technical specifications:
Indicator | Value |
Breaking tensile stress, MPa | 18-20 |
Flexural strength under deformation 10%, MPa | 47-53 |
Brinell hardness, MPa | 55-58 |
Vicat melting point, °C | 210-220 |
Wear intensity, Ix109 at P=3 MPa, V=0,5 m/s | 2,2-3,5 |
Coefficient of friction without lubrication | 0,12-0,20 |
Technology type
Technical advantages and economic benefits
Items made of F4-VM material compare well with imports with regard to main technological parameters, and exceed them in durability and service life by 15-20%.
Technology differentiation and uniqueness

Range of applications
Intended for manufacturing of parts of friction units in machines
and mechanisms (sliding bearings, seal and piston rings, end seals, separators
rolling bearings, etc.), operated without or with limited lubrication.
Items made of F4-VM material can be used in contact with water, aqueous
solutions of salts and acids, in dust and vibration in the temperature range
from -60 up to +250 °C.
