Summary
The filter has been designed on the basis of fibre-porous material “Griftex” made of polytetrafluoroethylene having no analogues in the world. “Grif” filters are extremely effective for purging aerosols out of compressed air, and they can be used in different applications - for separation of oil, acid or water fog.
Description
The filter element of “Grif” filters consists of short fibres of polytetrafluoroethylene with the average diameter of 10–15 μm and length of 0.2–2 mm. Porosity is 85–90%, weight is 300–400 kg/m3. The specific surface area of the material is about 4.9 m2/g. The thickness of the “Grifteks” material can vary from 1.5 to 20 mm. “Grifteks” material has low adsorption memory, hydrophobicity (lyophilicity), resistance to aggressive liquids and gases, UV radiation, high heat resistance. The effectiveness of filtration of solid particles sized 0.5 μm with a layer of Grifteks material being 4 mm thick, with the average pore size being 20 μm, and surface charge density being 0.5 nCl/cm2, is 99.96%.
Technology type
Technical advantages and economic benefits
As compared to filter elements of powder or foam metals, “Grif” filters have a much more efficient capturing capacity of water and oil aerosols, and several times greater contaminant capability.
Technology differentiation and uniqueness
High price-quality ratio.
