Summary
Composite materials based on polytetrafluoroethylene are unique and indispensable for many places of friction, especially the ones that are operated in extreme conditions: aggressive environments, vacuum, in contact with food, at low temperatures. This is due to exceptional inertness of PTFE and its low friction rate.
Description
Polymer composite “Superfluvis” obtained on the basis of plasma polymerization is the next generation of antifriction materials. Comparison of physical and mechanical properties of the new material with the one that was previously developed at the Institute and serial production of composites “Fluvis” showed a significant improvement (1.5-2 times) in durability. At the same time, moisture absorption and gas permeability have decreased, electroconductivity has significantly increased.

The material is designed for sealing units and dry friction bearings. Used for 0-rings and collars in non-lubrication compressors, in dry motion expanders, pumps, for face bearings and seals, bearings and piston and shaft skid bases, for separators, saddles, closing valve actuators, etc.
