Summary

Joint efforts of Republican Unitary Production Enterprise “Minsk Motor Plant” specialists and SSI “Physics and Technology Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus” employees resulted in construction of an equipment package which allows cutting waste continuous mode drying of total 500 thousand tons per year and its separation from magnetic and feebly magnetic inclusions (Niresist alloy Fe-13Ni-7Cu).

Description

Production arrangements for cutting waste treatment and manufacturing of machine engineering performance products with the use of secondary aluminium alloys, construction of an equipment package for aluminium cuttings separation and drying and aluminium casting slags treatment.

Practical experience

A technological process for aluminium cuttings pre-melting preparation has already been developed and the corresponding equipment has already been constructed (cuttings drying, magnetic and feebly magnetic (Niresist) ferrous metal inclusion separation – magnetic separation), which made it possible to include full aluminium cuttings output of the Unitary Enterprise “Minsk Motor Plant” in the charging mixture used in its own production cycle and to replace expensive fresh charging materials purchased as well as to apply the cuttings in fireproof coatings and lining production.
