Summary
Recombinant thermostable DNA polymerase (Taq and Pfu) is the main component of the polymerase chain reaction.
Description
The discovery of thermostable DNA-polymerase has revolutionized molecular biology and contributed to the creation of the method of polymerase chain reaction. Currently it is the most sensitive and up-to-date method for detection of foreign DNA in human, animals and plants which serves to create highly sensitive systems of genetic diagnostics such as direct detection and identification of infectious agents, molecular genotyping and studies of the properties of pathogenic microorganisms, analysis of the mutations connected with human genetic diseases, identification of personality. Recombinant thermostable DNA polymerase can be used as separate products as well as parts of PCR sets of different orientation.
