Summary
The biotechnology of sewage water purification from phthalic ethers is based on the use of micro organisms-decomposers of phthalates. High level of efficiency of sewage purification from phthalic ethers is ensured by fixing of micro organisms-decomposers on fine-fibrous carrier. Biotechnology is environmentally friendly, non-waste and cost effective.
Description
The biotechnology is based on micro organisms-decomposers using
phthalic ethers as the only source of carbon and energy. High level of
efficiency of sewage purification from phthalic ethers is ensured by fixing of
micro organisms-decomposers of Rhodococcus type on fine-fibrous carrier in
series-connected blocks of anaerobic and aerobic bioreactors.
Sewage water treatment with the help of micro organisms-decomposers ensures a
high level of utilization of effluent components that are decomposed to carbon
dioxide and water. In the process of water purification intermediate toxic
metabolites are not stored; thus the process of decomposition appears to be
completely harmless. No wastes that have to be disposed or thermo
decontaminated are produced as the rest of biomass is transferred with purified
water from bioreactor to biological treatment facilities where it forms sewage
sludge being a harmless organic component.
