Summary

The multi-layer electromagnetic screen makes it possible to provide electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic devices and reliable protection from external magnetic and electromagnetic fields.

Description

The traditional technology of production of bulky shells from sheet and tape materials based on iron and its alloys makes it possible to solve the problem of screening in a number of cases, however, is costly and material-consuming. We have proposed an alternative and more effective way of using multi-layer plated coatings. The technology makes it possible to form multi-layer structures containing alternating layers of soft magnetic material and layers with high electrical conductivity. It is known that such multi-layer structures exhibit maximum shielding effectiveness. Also worth noting are the following advantages of the plating technology that are crucial in manufacturing of multi-layer screens: possibility of forming screens in defined and localized areas of feedstock, in complex geometry products or ones with small linear dimensions, which is not as a matter of fact solvable through technologies of assembly from sheet materials.
