Summary

As a result of the project realization on the basis of water-atomized iron powder of ASC 100.29 type, by ferritizing their surface, subsequent compressing and synthesizing, low-coercitivity high-frequency composite material with saturation induction of 2.2 T has been developed, which operates in the frequency range of up to 100 kHz with Curie temperature over 800 °C.

Description

Creating new magnetic materials with MIM-structure is based on elaborating the existence basics of ferromagnetic alignment in the two-phase system with metallic conductivity for a metal magnetic and solid-state conductivity of an oxidic magnetic.
Developing of new magnetics required solving a number of technological problems regarding iron powder particles surface ferritizing as well as specific methods of its consecutive sintering.
As a result of the project realization the new patently-clean technique of obtaining ferritic coatings on iron particles surface has been developed.
In the proposed technique iron powder is placed into a special mixing chamber using oxidizing atmosphere – as a rule, air with the pressure range of 0.1-1 atm. Alongside with the powder an additional amount of metals is infused at the ratio corresponding to their proportion in the required ferrite. During joint processing of iron powder and metals within the temperature range of 500–600 °C, as a result of diffusion the metals are transferred onto the iron powder surface with the subsequent forming of a thing ferrite layer due to its interaction with atmospheric oxygen.
