Summary
The kit “DNA-BK” is used for quick and effective isolation and clearance of DNA from buccal epithelium and whole blood samples.
Description
The method of isolation is based on specific reversible sorption of nucleic acids in the presence of chaotropic salts on the particles of silica gel. DNA preparations are suitable for the creation of genomic library, performing PCR, sequence analysis and can be used for gene diagnostic researches in research laboratories of the appropriate specialization, and also in clinical medicine.
Technology type
Technical advantages and economic benefits
- Effective isolation of DNA from buccal epithelium smears and whole blood samples (50-200 mcl);
- Isolation is held without toxic organic solvents (phenol, chloroform, isoamyl alcohol);
- There is no need in extra treatment with the help of proteinase and ribonuclease;
- Makes it possible to get 5-20 ng/mcl from buccal epithelium cells and 10-30 ng/mcl from whole blood;
- The possibility of protocol optimization for particular tasks;
- Isolation takes no less than 30 min.
Economic
benefit manifests itself in substitution of imported analogs on the
market of diagnostic test-systems for a cheaper kit with the same
degree of safety. There are no domestic analogs.
