Summary

The device is designed for fast semiquantitative testing of iodine concentration in urine, saliva. It can be used for testing of iodine concentration in water.

Description

The test is designed for fast testing of iodine concentration in urine, saliva, can be used for unassisted testing of iodine excretion level by the client. Does not contain any toxic reagents. Effective range of iodine concentration is 25-400 mcg/l and more which makes to possible to evaluate iodine level as “full-blown iodine deficiency”, “moderate iodine deficiency”, “norm”, “iodine excess”. Can be used for assessment of iodine level in the organism:

Technology type

Technical advantages and economic benefits

The proposed express-test is worked out for monitoring of urinary iodine excretion. It has a simple construction, simple handling, does not contain toxic agents, highly sensitive, secures necessary accuracy and reproducibility of test results. Can be produced in several modifications. The necessity of development of this simple test rises out from the need to control iodine level in a human body. The purpose of the developed technology is to lower the level of diseases caused by iodine deficiency and improve the quality of life.
