Summary
Ioniteponic technology and means of its ensuring –
biotech complexes – are designed for year-round industrial production
of virus-free seedlings (1500 units per m2) and potato
minitubers in winter hothouses with a capacity of 600-1000 minitubers
(depending on their kind) per square meter during the vegetation which
with minituber mass of about 10 g corresponds to tuber productivity of
up to 10 kg / m2 (1000 q / ha).

on ion exchange substrates of natural and artificial origin for
industrial and experimentally selective work.
Description
Biotechnical complexes are designed for obtaining of potato material in seed-growing organizations - Biotechnological Industrial Complex (BIC-P) and meristemic laboratories (BIC-1). The complex includes the following components:
The system is installed in a laboratory room (BIC-1) and in winter hothouses (BIC-P) and operates in artificial climatic conditions. Technological regulations and watering are carried out depending on the phase of growth, photoperiod, light and heat and humidity conditions of plant growing and are regulated by the software via PC or manually. As the medium of root layer artificial substrate Trion is used which is based on ion-exchange materials of natural or synthetic origin, optimally balanced for potato plants and intended for repeated use. Microcloning of meristemic potato plants of different maturity dates on artificial substrates in vivo carried out by the proposed technology makes it possible to accumulate quickly source material and to grow virus-free potato seedlings. The obtained seedlings can be used for later production of virus-free minitubers of different kinds and maturity dates.

Technical advantages and economic benefits
The productivity of the industrial complex is not less than 345,000 units of high-quality virus-free minitubers per year and not less than 300 000 units of seedlings during one vegetation per year. This makes it possible in the spring to plant minitubers on an area no less than 5 ha and seedlings on 5 ha of breeding hatchery. The developed technology and biotech complexes do not have any analogs in Belarus and abroad, are 5-10 times more efficient, the cost price of one minituber is 6-12 times lower than those used in the world since as the existing shortcomings of such technologies are considered and overcome. Has a number of know-how and patents.

In the year-round production of virus-free potato material reusable substrates which can for a long time hold mineral nutrients in optimal for potato plants proportions and quantities are used.

The technology was presented at the Achievement Exhibition and was awarded the silver medal at the VII Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments (2008), at the 18th International Exhibition of Business and Economic Cooperation in Harbin, China (2007), the International Innovation Exhibition in Changchun, China (2007).
