Summary

The methodological bases for designing of Scotch pine and Norway spruce seed plantations with the intended population-genetic constitution on the ground of cloned composition computer optimization with consideration to single-cell cultures mixing circuit and their reproductive features have been developed.

Description

Forest selection engages selection and use on seed plantations of relatively small quantity of elite single-cell cultures what can lead to modification of population-genetic constitution of plantation and its seed geniture. At the same time, intraspecific polymorphism of artificially created object should be as closely to that of existent in natural populations main wood formed sorts as possible. For this reason, when creating seed plantations it is necessary to use optimal selection of single-cell cultures, so that its population-genetic constitution is corresponded to the natural. For implementation of the method, it is necessary to use genetic characteristics of areas, distribution scheme and reproductive characteristics.

Technology type

Technical advantages and economic benefits

The offered method of seed plantations creation allows increasing the level of genetic plantations variability, and as a consequence, increasing the insensitivity of homogeneous forest which is created on their basis. The method offers an opportunity to define the minimal admissible cloned variety of seed plantations.

Technology differentiation and uniqueness

Seed plantations are designed with the help of genetic characteristics of single-cell cultures.
