Summary

The collection of cultivated edible and medicinal mushrooms’ axenic cultures is the basis for preservation and domestication of perspective strains and sorts of edible and medicinal superlative basidiomycetes. Availability of a wide collection of mushrooms opens a prospect for selective work on development of new, highly productive strains of edible mushrooms, as well as medicinal mushrooms strains with high pustulants for medical purposes.

Description

The collection of mushrooms’ axenic cultures of the Institute of Wood comprises over 300 strains related to 70 sorts. Such sorts as: Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacg.:Fr.) Kumm. (ordinary hiratake mushroom) – 81 strains, Lentinus edodes (Berk.) Sing. (shiitake) – 31 strains, Agaricus bisporus (J. Lge) Imbach (cultivated mushroom) – 13 strains, Ganoderma lucidum (Curt.:Fr.) (reishi mushroom) – 9 strains are widely presented.

The collection was used for stock cultures getting in the process of industrial cultivation of mushrooms in conditions of Additional Responsibility Society “Lesnaya Krinitsa”, Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Domanovichi Vegetable Dehydration Plant”, and State Forestry-Based Institution “Korenevka Experimental Forest Base of the Institute of Wood of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus” as well.
