Holstein population of dairy cattle of domestic breeding was created, which makes 50% of the total reared dairy cattle, in the amount of 960 thousand animals; milk production indicators: milk yield – 5047 kg, fat content in milk – 3.68%, protein – 3.20%. The animals are peculiar with higher milk performance, pronounced dairy exterior type, good reproductive traits and effective use in conditions of industrial technology.

Technology Benefits
In terms of average milk yield it surpasses cows of the entire black-and-white population of the Republic of Belarus by 506 kg. The degree of implementation of genetic potential of Holstein population ranges from 75 to 90%.
