Description
Novel direction in the field of remote sensing of the atmosphere and underlying surface is proposed and developed. It based on the data of coordinated distant measurements of active (laser) and passive (photometric) systems of ground- and space-basing. [br][/br]Synergistic effect from the integration of information of various systems is achieved by involving various new regularizing algorithms for solution of inverse problems at processing[br][/br]complex measurements data.[br][/br][br][/br] [br][/br][br][/br][br][/br]

Technology Benefits
For the first time in the study of Antarctica at regular seasonal observation, the system for monitoring of atmosphere and the earth's surface operates. The system collects measurements of the complex ground-based lidar and radiometric equipment and satellite data, tracks the changes in the optical characteristicsof atmospheric aerosol and snow surface and provides an external calibration of the Belarusian and Russian satellite spectrometers.

Practical Experience
The first results of practical application:[br][/br]-the technique for coordinated lidar and radiometric sensing and corresponding LIRIC software used in Minsk,Tomsk, and ten EARLINET stations[br][/br]-the developed software for recovering the atmosphere optical parameters by multispectral satellite data using a regional model for atmospheric aerosolfor the territory ofBelarus[br][/br]-initiated new researches on space monitoring of greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide and methane) using the satellite data. Theresearches are focused on the study of seasonal and spatial variability of greenhouse gases over the territory of Belarus[br][/br]
