Summary
Belarus academic institute has developed the Thermochemical catalytic reactor with axial-radial-flow for purifying pyrolysis gases and motor fuel. Institute offers reactor under contracts with the customer.[br][/br]
Description
Thermochemical catalytic reactor with axial-radial-flow is an annular layer of particles placed coaxially in a cylindrical housing. Layer is limited to the side walls of the porous and impervious to the flow of the end faces. The inner cavity and the gap between the outer wall layers are channels for supplying and discharging the layer from a gas mixture. Inside channels are fairing in the form of bodies of revolution with a curved form. The special shape of the fairings and allow the ends of the layer evenly distribute the gas mixture by volume of the catalyst bed and to ensure steady airflow around the catalyst grains. The gas mixture formed in the gasifier from the biomass (waste wood) fed to thermochemical reactor and filtered into the radially-axially through the layer where the adsorbed gas contained in the CO2, and as a result of catalytic reactions the tar content is lowered.
