Belarusian scientific Institute of Physical Organic Chemistry offers chemically active textile materials for purification of water, air and human protection from chemically active pollution, viruses and bacteria - [url]https://ifoch.by/research/fiban/[/url][br][/br][br][/br]Air cleaning:[br][/br]-acids ( e.g., HCl, HF, HNO 3, HCOOH, aerosols H 2 SO 4 );[br][/br]-bases ( e.g. NH 3, PH 3, NaOH aerosols );[br][/br]-organic ionizing substances (amines, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, heterocyclic compounds);[br][/br]-acid anhydrides ( e.g., SO 2, SO 3, N x O y, CrO 3 );[br][/br]-substances undergoing catalytic conversion ( e.g., Cl 2, Br 2, H 2 S ).[br][/br][br][/br]Water purification:[br][/br]-metal ions ( e.g., Pb (II), Hg (II), Cu (II), Zn (II), Fe (II), Fe (III), Mn (II)) ;[br][/br]-viruses and bacteria;[br][/br]-softening, deionization, fine water purification.[br][/br][br][/br]Human protection:[br][/br]-removal of acids, alkalis and solutions of aggressive substances from human skin and the surface of objects;[br][/br]-respiratory protection from aggressive gases and vapors;[br][/br]-protective clothing to prevent contact of human skin with splashes, aerosols, fumes of acids and alkalis.[br][/br][br][/br]Cleaning is achieved by passing contaminated air or water through a layer of ion-exchange material with a thickness of 3 to 60 mm.[br][/br][br][/br]
