Summary
The IFMH-Ch is a unique specialized device for non-destructive testing of the physics and mechanical characteristics of cast iron (gray, nodular, malleable, white) of various grades.[br][/br][br][/br]

Description
The principle of operation of the device is based on the use of the dependence of the parameters of impact interaction on the elastic-plastic properties of the material tested. The device allows to measure Brinell hardness, elastic modulus and strength of cast iron. It also can determine the grade for gray (strength up to 350 MPa) and nodular (strength from 350 MPa and higher), as well as to determine white cast iron properties.[br][/br]Hardness measurement range: 90-450 НВ[br][/br]Elastic modulus measurement range: 40-220 GPa[br][/br]Tensile strength measurement range: 100-900 MPa [br][/br][br][/br]Device overview on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SydqxTBHm_o&t=86s

Technology Benefits
The device consists of the gage and the electronic unit that is connected itself wirelessly. Gage can be used separately for Brinell, Rockwell and Vicker hardness testing of steels. The electronic unit is designed to process the received signal and determine the basic physical and mechanical characteristics of cast iron.

Technology Differentiation and Uniqueness
Reliable measuring of the cast iron hardness with the help of widely used portable dynamic Leeb hardness testers is a very difficult task. Many manufacturers of hardness testers apply empirical curve-fitting calibration received at separate cast iron grades for this purpose. This causes errors in subsequent measurements, because of the strong correlation between the Leeb hardness value (HL) and the elastic modulus of the material. Our device allows to avoid this problem and to determine Brinell hardness, strength and elastic modulus with great accuracy.[br][/br]
