Description
The R&D institute from Belarus specializing in research of industrial technologies has developed technology and equipment for magnetorheological finishing (MRF).[br][/br][br][/br]MRF is a method of surface treatment based on the rheological properties of magnetorheological polishing fluids (MPF) that is used to produce high-quality parts. In a magnetic field, the MPF becomes a viscoplastic medium, which acts as a polishing pad. [br][/br][br][/br]Main advantages of proposes technology and equipment: [br][/br]- Precision, possibility to conduct treatment of surface without overheating and destruction of the material[br][/br]- Dimensions of treated components: from 3 mm to 2.5 meter.[br][/br][br][/br]The equipment is milti-purpose and allows perfoming the following technological operations:[br][/br]- Polishing - removing of the uniform layer from the surface[br][/br]- Retouching - local surface treatment[br][/br]- Form change from the spherical to aspherical. [br][/br][br][/br]The equipment includes MRF computer numerical control (CNC) machines, modules and liquids for surface treatment:[br][/br]- 3-5 coordinate CNC machines for MRF, made of natural stone, using linear drives[br][/br]- 1-2 coordinate modules for modification of machines and coordinate systems[br][/br]- Magnetorheological liquids on aqueous and non-aqueous basis.[br][/br][br][/br]Examples of MRF use:[br][/br]- Super finishing of surface after traditional polishing or diamond grinding[br][/br]- Planarization of wafers and thin films processing[br][/br]- Replacement for chemical etching process[br][/br]- Removal of defective surface layers[br][/br]- Forming of an aspherical surface[br][/br]- Production of segmented aspherical metal-optical elements.[br][/br][br][/br]Treated materials:[br][/br]- Optical materials (glass, quartz, glassceramics)[br][/br]- Optical ceramics (astropyroceramics, Zerodur)[br][/br]- Laser crystals, including water-soluble (BBO, LiF, KDP, CaF2, MgF2)[br][/br]- Super hard crystalline materials (SiC, Si3N4, SixNyOz, WC)[br][/br]- IR materials (zinc chalcogenides ZnS and ZnSe; Ge)[br][/br]- Semiconductor materials (Si, Ge, GaAs)[br][/br]- Non-magnetic metals and alloys (Cu, Al, Cr, Ni, stainless steel) [br][/br]- Ceramic materials[br][/br]- Thin films and coatings.[br][/br][br][/br]The R&D institute from Belarus is looking for commercial agreement with technical assistance or joint venture agreement with industrial partners or R&D organizations from EU or non- EU countries (except the US) interested in buying or joint production of the equipment.
