The enterprise concerns to chemical branch and is a part of the Belarus state concern on oil and chemistry. The decision on the beginning of construction of the enterprise was accepted in 1965. For today the number of working people of the Open joint-stock company “Mogilyovkhimvolokno” is more than 10,5 thousand person, and monthly average release of ready polyester production more than 50 billion roubles. About 75% of production is delivered on export. Now the enterprise represents a complex from four factories and two manufactures. Open joint-stock company “Mogilyovkhimvolokno” makes: dimetiltereftalat, polyester finely crushed glass, including household purpose, polyester fibres and strings, composite materials, a polyester basis for roofing materials, no woven cloths from a polyester fibre of various purpose, different kinds of tape, sleeves for firemen. Open joint-stock company “Mogilyovkhimvolokno” is the basic supplier of raw material for light industry of Belarus.

The closed joint-stock company the Mogilyov garment factory “Vyasnyanka” was founded in 1929 and today it is one of the largest subjects of managing in a clothing industry of republic with 1583 working person . The firm specializes on manufacture of the top lady’s wear (a coat, a short coat, jackets, female suits, jackets, trousers and other) for a home market and on export to the CIS countries and the far abroad. The annual volume of production is 6 million US dollars, of them of 90 % — goods made on commission.
